Mobile House for Urban Migrant Workers

Public art, 2007. Fictitious design solution to the housing needs of urban migrant workers, who find it increasingly difficult to rent decent accommodation. By disguising the dwelling as a tree it doubles as ‘street beautification’ for planning purposes.

Medium: Wood, Plywood, Weathertyte billboard vinyl with tree bark image, Coroplast, solar panel and lamp, rain collecting roof. 8’x 6’ x13’
